BEND, OR – COUGS Lacrosse hosted Coach Adam Ghitleman of University of Utah Utes Lacrosse for a “Grow the Game” clinic and it was a tremendous success!
21 Cougs lacrosse student-athletes showed up on a windy, chilly day with other lax players form all across central Oregon to descend upon Mt. View’s lax field in order to learn from one of the best. Coach Ghitleman shared his lacrosse story and talked about the history of this great game in between his many coaching lessons. All of the kids participating, about 40 in total, had a blast playing some winter lax and making the most of their time. One of the great aspects of Adam’s visit was him discussing leadership and really adding to the leadership lesson experience we focus on at Cougs Lacrosse. The lessons we learn from the experience in lacrosse carry on into life. The leadership lessons we teach are invaluable to our Cougs student-athletes as they make their journey from kids into young adults. Having Coach Ghitleman share his time with us was a great experience our student-atheltes won’t soon forget! Maybe we need to plan a preseason road trip to SLC for the Ute’s first home season as a D-1 lacrosse program! GO COUGS!!

Coach Adam Ghitleman was able to donate his time and experience due in part to his work with The Give and Go Foundation. www.givegofund.com The Give and Go Foundation works to grow lacrosse all over the world.
